Here's a wee bit about me...

I am 39 years old and I have been licensed since September 2005.  I obtained my Foundation and Intermediate licences at the Paisley Amateur Radio Club which is held in the YMCA building on New Street, much gratitude to Jim GM3UWX.

Since obtaining my licences I have been trying to learn as much as I can about Amateur Radio and all the different modes available.  My current favourite modes are SSTV and PSK31 which I transmit on VHF as well as HF.

I am between jobs at the moment and recently finished workinh as a taxi driver in the Vale of Leven area.  I am waiting on a start date to return to my trade of Mechanical Maintenance Fitter.

I am a member of the Lomond Radio Club based in the town of Dumbarton, the club meets every Thursday night and operates under the callsign GM4HEL, listen out for us on Thursday evenings.

I am also involved with the Greater Glasgow Raynet Group where I have made many new friends and hopefully picked up a few tips along the way.  We have a very busy season ahead of us this year which should be both challenging and fun.

I also maintain the website for the GB3DM UHF Repeater in Dumbarton.
